Markham is the largest town, and fastest growing municipality in the country. It is also home to many Canadian head offices for multi-national high-tech companies such as Sony, IBM and Apple. Considered part of the Regional Municipality of York, Markham was mostly farmland and marsh up until the 1970’s. It continues to grow and draw in families from all over the GTA and Ontario.
