In 2006, Milton was named the fastest growing community in Canada with a 71.4% population increase within just 5 years.  It is very easily accessible to other areas of the GTA, by both the 401 and the 407. 

Milton is mostly suburban in nature, however it is also home to major automotive, advanced manufacturing, distribution and food production industries .
