Originally developed around the Humber River, Vaughan has grown into what is now known as a “Commercial Center”. There are a variety of cultures and backgrounds when it comes to the residents of Vaughan, giving those living there a strong sense of community and belonging. Within Vaughan, you are able to find smaller communities such as Woodbridge and Maple. Most famous for being home to Canada’s Wonderland amusement park, Maple is located just east of highway 400, just outside of Woodbridge. Maple as a whole is constantly developing at a rapid pace and shows no signs of stopping. Previously known for being predominantly farmlands and fields, it is now turning into a much more suburban area.
